Abstract Background Gestational diabetes mellitus GDM is one of the most common complications during pregnancy, and it has both short- and long-term adverse effects on the health of mothers and fetuses.

Methods We searched for studies published between January and June that appeared in the Web of Science, Scopus, ClinicalTrials. Results Eight studies were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis.
